Best Florida Online Sports Betting Sites 2022 Reviewed
There are no locally regulated online sportsbooks in Florida following Judge Friedrich’s ruling, so you need to visit an offshore betting site to gamble online.
We have identified five overseas online sports betting sites that offer reliable, expeditious payouts and a strong all-round experience. They all have different areas of expertise, so read our reviews to decide which one is right for you:
1. BetOnline – Best Sports Betting Site in Florida Overall
BetOnline is our top-rated online sportsbook for Florida bettors. Several factors inspired this decision. First, it tends to offer sharper, more attractive odds than its key competitors. It also releases lines quickly, making it popular with sharps. There is a re-bet option too, which essentially means there are no limits to the amount you can bet on a single market.
Second, BetOnline has the smoothest and most sophisticated sports betting platform out of the offshore sportsbooks. It comes with several great features, and it is quick and easy to use. BetOnline also provides rapid payouts via crypto. It covers loads of sports in great detail, and there are extra sections for esports, horse racing, casino, and an online poker room.
BetOnline offers a 100% crypto welcome bonus of up to $1,000. It comes with a 14x rollover requirement, which is high. This sportsbook also charges for credit card deposits, so it has its flaws. However, it is the best all-round option, and it provides lots of additional promos for all customers, along with 24/7 customer support.
What we like:
- Hefty welcome bonus up to $3,000
- More than 400 available games
- A variety of live dealer titles
- A mobile-friendly website and a dedicated app
What we don’t:
- 6% fees of credit/debit card deposits
2. MyBookie – Best Online Betting Site in Florida for Entertainment/Politics Betting
MyBookie is a sister site to Xbet, so it provides an almost identical experience, but with different bonuses. There are higher rollover requirements at MyBookie (10x), but the bonuses are larger (50% deposit match for $1,000) and there are more additional promotions, such as cash reloads and horse racing rebates.
This is a great destination for anyone in Florida that wants to bet on current events. It takes bets on celebrity news, babies, divorces, and deaths, along with a variety of entertainment markets. MyBookie has a competitive rewards program too.
What we like:
- A wide variety of promotions and bonuses
- Excellent customer service
- Offers a sportsbook & casino
- Accepts US players
What we don’t:
- The rollover requirement for some bonuses is high
3. Everygame – A Florida Online Sportsbook That Covers Most Games
Everygame is one of our top picks for online sports betting sites in Florida, especially considering the wealth of bonuses available using Everygame promo codes, and evergreen promotions to line your bankroll. While the company now offers a wide variety of products, sports remains its major focus.
The Everygame interface is a touch dated but still serves its purpose admirably well for an in-house creation. The sportsbook features most of what FL sports betting fans are looking for on Florida sports betting sites, too – all the major state teams: Dolphins, Jaguars, Heat, Magic, and Gators (et al) are covered.
There are highlighted odds for all the major games of the day/week, and a list of the most popular bets of the day for markets such as baseball, basketball, ice hockey, tennis, boxing/UFC, cricket, golf, handball, motorsports, soccer, and more. Parlay betting is a huge focus at this FL sportsbook online, and fans will find them easy to construct and insure, and there’s even a chance to claim free parlays in weekly raffles.
For both deposits and withdrawals, the Everygame FL sportsbook offers a variety of options, and there are no. fees for some payment options. Also, there is a withdrawal limit for those who consider themselves to be pro gamblers or who have just hit a big payday.
What we like:
- Long-standing name in the industry
- Hefty welcome bonus
- Intuitive mobile experience
- Great game variety
- Several banking options
What we don’t:
- Long waiting times for checks and wire transfers
4. XBet – Best Online Betting Site in FL for Beginners
The XBet FL sportsbook is much simpler and more stripped-back than some of its competition. It is great for newcomers to online betting, as you will not be swamped with too many options but still have access to Florida’s most popular sports betting markets: NFL, MLB, NHL, NBA, and UFC. You will also benefit from strong customer service.
The interface looks a little basic compared to BetOnline, but it is quick, user-friendly, and reliable. The 50% up to $500 welcome bonus also comes with a 7x rollover requirement, which is not so burdensome.
What we like:
- Large variety of sports market
- Highly competitive odds
- A decent welcome bonus
- Fast withdrawals
What we don’t:
- Few withdrawal options
5. Bovada – FL Betting Site with Deep Markets & Prop Bets
Bovada provides a compelling alternative to BetOnline. Its software is not quite as polished, the betting limits are lower and the odds are not always as sharp, but it covers more games, it provides far more prop bets and it has a much lower rollover requirement on its welcome bonus. You only need to use our Bovada bonus code and then complete a 5x playthrough requirement on Bovada’s 75% up to $750 bonus.
It is just as quick to pay out as BetOnline, and it has a busier online poker room and a comparable racebook and online casino. Bovada offers fewer additional promos than BetOnline, but it does have a strong loyalty program.
What we like:
- High-quality games from top software providers
- Live sports betting
- Mobile betting available
- Promotes the prevention of gambling addiction
What we don’t:
- has limits on how much you can bet
6. BetUS – Largest Sports Welcome Bonus on Offer in the Sunshine State
This is the ultimate destination for anyone looking for large bonuses. You can claim up to $3,125 in site credit when you sign up for a BetUS account. That includes $2,500 for the sportsbook and $625 for the casino, and you need to deposit $2,500 of your own money to claim the full amount.
The rollover requirements are less taxing than those at BetOnline and several other sites, but higher than those at Bovada and Xbet. BetUS is a strong all-round sportsbook that offers a reasonable selection of betting options on football, basketball, baseball, and hockey games. Its soccer and esports sections have also improved significantly in recent years.
What we like:
- Live dealer games
- Fast payouts
- Offers horse racing and esports betting
- Top-rated sportsbook
- Generous welcome bonus
What we don’t:
- Limited payout options
7. BUSR – Popular Florida Betting Site for Sports and Horse Racing
As with many other FL sports betting sites, BUSR offers wagers on a wide range of sports markets. However, BUSR stands out for its excellent horse racing offering. BUSR provides coverage of not just national horse racing events such as the Kentucky Derby but also international races such as the Greyville Durban July, The Melbourne Cup, and The Cheltenham Festival.
Also, the sportsbook offers bettors a comprehensive racing schedule with the most recent races, statistics, and jockey swaps. BUSR may not have a wide variety of deposit methods, but their sportsbook makes up for it with a number of sports specials and some of the sharpest odds for those sports betting in Florida.
Market depth at the site is just as diverse and offers options like a racebook, a dedicated esports betting suite, and solid coverage of the US major leagues, auto racing, rugby, soccer, golf, and tennis.
Even better, new players receive a 100% welcome bonus on their first deposit, plus other great promotions such as free bets, daily rebates, and bonuses for cryptocurrency deposits. There are also various BUSR promo codes new players can use to claim their bonus offers.
What we like:
- Cover a huge horse racing market
- Offers parlays, trifectas, and exactas
- Great mobile betting site
- Generous welcome bonus
- Excellent UFC betting site
What we don’t:
- Low sportsbook limits
8. Jazz – User-friendly Mobile Betting Site for Florida Bettors
Major Florida sports betting sites like Jazz Sports allow you to wager on your favorite sports games and sports person. Jazz Sports offer competitive odds and popular markets. The live betting feature is also worth using because it was introduced to help you enjoy live games as you place your bets.
Jazz Sports is one of the leading sports betting sites that fostered the dominance of online sports betting in Florida. Though sports betting isn’t yet legal, betting sites like Jazz Sports allow you to wager on diverse top teams. They also offer bonuses and promos to increase your chances of earning.
New users get to use bonuses worth 50% of their initial deposit to play, and existing users can partake in promos and bonuses hosted on the betting site by using Jazz Sports bonus codes.
What we like:
- Wide market coverage on major sports actions
- Availability of popular markets
- User-friendly mobile betting site
- Exotic promos and welcome bonuses
- Live betting feature
What we don’t:
- Low sportsbook limits
9. Sportsbetting.ag – Florida Sportsbook for High Rollers
With lots of betting options, alternate spreads, top prop betting options, plus excellent value-for-money, Sportsbetting.ag is the go-to spot for betting on the NBA. Offering competitive odds, there are special deals for NBA and college hoops.
By tipping off the playoff season with Sportsbetting.ag, Florida sports betting fans can claim a generous NBA welcome bonus, while existing customers are spoiled with reload bonuses, free $25 bets on the live and prop betting markets, and a host of basketball-related tournaments, allowing for an opportunity to make some serious dough when it comes to NBA betting in Florida.

Moneyline, over/under, and spread bets are available, along with deep prop betting markets for both individual teams and players, making Sportsbetting.ag a top-of-the-line sports betting site in Florida. Even better, their exclusive NBA live parlay feature provides an extra edge over many other Florida sports betting sites.
The sportsbook offers one of the best basketball betting experiences around. Grab a Sportsbetting.ag promo code and start wagering on your favorite NBA teams!
What we like:
- Top site for NBA fans
- Generous NBA welcome bonus
- Early betting lines
- Features more than 20 payment options
- Mobile-friendly website
What we don’t:
- No eWallet
10. Betanysports – Reduced Juice Betting Lines for Florida Sports Fans
Betanysports Sportsbook has been around for over 7 years. This bookie graced the FL sports betting locale with its own twist on market coverage, odds quality and popular market availability. You will have access to dedicated American lines, Offshore lines, Premiere Lines, Super Lines, Ultimate Lines, and Props Builder Tools.
The ‘less juice’ option in the basketball section will come in handy if you need to leverage reduced juice betting lines. The reduced juice betting lines allow you to pocket more of your wins than the standard betting lines, which means Betanysports will remove lower commissions from your wins. You can also enjoy other great benefits this bookie offers by redeeming any available Betanysport promo code.
Visiting Betanysports Sportsbook can throw you off when you get to the landing page. Unlike other Florida sports betting sites, you must be logged in or create an account to see what this bookie offers fully. Even though we believe this betting site could use a little design upgrade, no one can contest the quality of the odds offered by Betanysports Sportsbook.
What we like:
- Great betting site for quality odds
- Welcome bonuses are available
- Live betting option
- Good market coverage
- Dependable Florida betting site
What we don’t:
- The website design could use a little improvement
- Website is not easy to use

Timeline: Developments of Legal Online Sports Betting in Florida
Florida briefly had a legal – albeit very limited – mobile sports betting market in 2021, but it was quickly deemed unconstitutional by the US District Judge. This timeline highlights some of the key developments:
- March 2022: The NFL suspends Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Calvin Ridley for one year for placing bets on the Hard Rock Sportsbook app in Florida.
- January 2022: Lawmakers revealed that they could not get enough signatures together for a referendum on sports betting on the November 2022 ballot.
- December 2021: The Seminole Tribe took its Hard Rock Sportsbook offline this week after failing in an appeal. “Player information and account funds are safe and secure, and the app will remain online for easy withdrawals via all payment methods,” it said.
- November 2021: US District Judge Dabney Friedrich ruled that Governor Ron DeSantis’ deal with the Seminole Tribe violated both the Florida state constitution and the federal Indian Gaming Regulation Act and ordered Hard Rock Sportsbook to cease operations.
- November 2021: The Seminole Tribe launches its Hard Rock Sportsbook brand in Florida, marking the start of a new era of legal online sports wagering.
- April 2021: Governor Ron DeSantis signs a new compact with the Seminole Tribe, which is designed to bring mobile sports wagering to Florida. It hands the Seminoles exclusive rights through their Hard Rock Sportsbook brand.

Is Online Sports Betting Currently Legal in Florida?
Currently, you cannot access a locally regulated online sportsbook in Florida. Hard Rock Sportsbook briefly offered legal sports betting in the Sunshine State in 2021, but it was mired in controversy.
Governor Ron DeSantis agreed to a compact with the Seminole Tribe, which owns the Hard Rock brand, giving it exclusivity over online sports betting in the state. To clinch the deal, the tribe agreed to give the Florida treasury at least $2.5 billion in revenue over five years.
There were various objections, and US District Judge Dabney Friedrich ruled that the compact violated the state constitution and the federal Indian Gaming Regulation Act. The Seminole Tribe continued to run the sportsbook in Florida after the verdict but then took it offline after an appeal proved unsuccessful. Further to this, some lawmakers now want a referendum on whether sports betting should be legalized, but they could not gain the requisite support.
If you are still interested in betting in Florida, your only option right now is to use an offshore sportsbook such as the sites mentioned above. There are no laws to prevent you from doing so, and the brands we have selected can be relied upon to treat you fairly.

Who Can Bet on Online Sports in Florida?
Any adult in Florida can bet on sports by signing up with a site like BetOnline, Xbet, Bovada, or BetUS. It only takes a couple of minutes to register an account with any one of those online sportsbooks, and you can then enjoy sports betting, slots, table games, and a racebook all in one place.
How to Bet on Sports Online in Florida?
You can bet on sports in Florida by following these simple steps:
- Choose one of the offshore online sportsbooks recommended above, such as BetOnline. Click the link we have issued to visit the site and click the “Register” or “Join Now” button.
- You will be presented with a registration form. Fill in your details, such as your name, date of birth, and address. You may also need to create a username.

When will Online Sports Betting in Florida be Legal?
Florida sports betting will not be legal at a local level any time soon. The Seminole Tribe’s legal case is rumbling on and it has stopped making payments to the state.
DraftKings chief executive Jason Robins said he is confident of getting a question on the ballot for Florida sports betting in 2024, so we are probably looking at 2025 at the earliest for a regulated local industry.
Florida Sports Betting Taxes
Offshore sportsbooks are not covered by federal law and they will not report any winnings you earn to the authorities. In states with regulated, local sports betting markets, bettors are required to declare any net winnings over $600 during a one-year period to the IRS, but that is not an issue in Florida right now.
Previous Sports Betting Bills in Florida
There have been a few efforts to legalize sports betting in Florida, but none of the attempts made much ground before the gaming compact between the Seminole tribe and the government was ratified. Take a look at previous bills below.
- SB 968. This bill, submitted by Senator Brandes, sought to legalize sports betting, both in retail and online venues. Died in Innovation, Industry, and Technology.
- SB 970. Also submitted by Senator Brandes. It outlined proposed fees and licensing for sports betting in the state. Died in Innovation, Industry, and Technology.
- SB 972. Also submitted by Brandes. Outlined the taxation structure that would be applied to legal sports betting. Died in Innovation, Industry, and Technology.
- SB 392. This bill was submitted by Senator Brandes and Senator Gruters. Again, it sought to legalize both online and retail sports betting. This bill died in Regulated Industries.
- SB 394. Also submitted by Brandes. Set out the taxes applicable to sports betting. Died in Regulated Industries.
- SB 396. Also submitted by Brandes. Set out the application and renewal fees for sports betting providers. Died in Regulated Industries.
- HB 1317. Submitted by Representative Chip LaMarca. Sought to authorize both retail and mobile sports betting. This bill died in Regulatory Reform Subcommittee.
- SB 2-A. This bill sought to implement the 2021 Gaming Compact between the Seminole Tribe of Florida and the state. It was approved by Governor DeSantis in May.
- Proposed Constitutional amendment. A proposal to add the legalization of sports betting to the November ballot, it failed to get enough signatures. It was supported by DraftKings and FanDuel.
Tax on Sports Betting Winnings in Florida
Currently, sports betting is not legal in Florida, so it’s not possible to pay tax on winnings. When sports betting was legal, there was a standard 24% federal tax applied to winnings, but the state levied no tax themselves, as Florida has no income tax.
Payment Methods Available at Florida Betting Sites
Looking to bet at one of the Florida online betting sites we recommend? If so, you’ll have a few choices when it comes to payment methods. We’ve looked at the most popular ones below.
Crypto Betting Options
Cryptocurrency is becoming more popular by the day, as more and more people begin to trust it. You’ll find that many cryptocurrencies are accepted at FL sportsbooks, including Bitcoin, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, and Dogecoin.
But why use crypto? Well, many other payment providers put blocks on people using their products at gambling sites, but crypto gives you an easy path around this. What’s more, crypto has negligible fees, plus withdrawals can take just a few seconds.
eWallet Betting Options
eWallets are hugely popular with online shoppers, and some of the more famous names are PayPal, Neteller, and Skrill. Just add some money to your eWallet and then spend it online, without having to provide any banking details to vendors.
However, eWallets do have a problem: in a bid to comply with state laws, many have now restricted their use at online gambling sites. The only way to know if you’ve been restricted is to try making a payment. If unsuccessful, use crypto instead.
Traditional Payment Methods at Florida Betting Sites
Traditional methods are those that have been used for years, mainly credit and debit cards. These are hugely popular online, but have the same issue as eWallets, in that many card providers don’t allow their cards to be used at gambling sites.
If you can use your card at a gambling site, you’ll find deposits are exceptionally secure and security levels are really high. What’s more, this method is highly convenient, as there’s no need to open an eWallet account or buy crypto.
FL Online Sportsbook Bonuses
Online Sports betting sites will and do offer lots of betting bonuses and promotions through sportsbook promo codes to win your business. Some operators also offer dedicated bonuses when you use their betting apps.
These are the main offers you can currently redeem:
Match Deposit Welcome Bonus
Most online sportsbooks match a proportion of your first deposit with site credit. For example, BetOnline gives you a 100% up to $1,000 bonus and MyBookie gives you 50% up to $1,000. You need to complete a rollover requirement on the deposit bonus funds before cashing out. It is 10x at MyBookie and BetUS, but 7x at Xbet.
No Deposit Bonus
This bonus earns you site credit without requiring a deposit. You can simply sign up and receive bonus funds. However, you will need to complete rollover requirements before potentially earning a cash profit. The sportsbook hopes you will be impressed and stay on as a long-term customer.
A reload bonus is issued whenever you top up your account. For example, there is a reload bonus worth up to 50% of your deposit when you fund a BetUS account, while MyBookie offers a 25% reload bonus up to $500.
Some sportsbooks give out online free bets to all customers. For example, you will get a $50 free mobile sports bet at BetOnline, and it also offers a free bet for the live betting section. Winnings are paid in site credit with a rollover requirement. Also, look out for odds boosts, referral bonuses, and loyalty programs from Florida sports betting sites.

Various sports are offered at Florida DFS sites, including football and basketball. Players and teams from around the state are also included, such as Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat.
Live Betting with Florida Sportsbooks
Live betting is one of the most popular ways to bet throughout the US. You’ll be able to bet as a game is in play, with the odds constantly changing to reflect the state of play. As you might imagine, live betting adds excitement to every game!
You’ll find several live betting options at the best sportsbooks. For example, football fans will be able to place moneyline bets, spread bets, and often loads of prop bets. However, bet quickly, as odds could drop at any time.
All offshore sportsbooks we recommend on this page offer live betting, but we think the number one place for live betting in Florida is Bovada, as it has a huge range of betting options, as well as consistently high odds.
Comparing FL Sports Betting Sites with Neighboring States
Florida shares a border with two other states: Georgia and Alabama. Find out how Florida’s sports betting environment compares with those in Georgia and Alabama below.
Currently, sports betting is not legal in Georgia. Supporters came close to legalizing sports betting in 2021, but eventually they weren’t able to garner enough votes. Many are optimistic that sports betting will be legalized in 2022.
So, currently, both Florida and Georgia are in the same place, with no legal sports betting permitted either in retail premises or online. However, it is possible for those in Georgia to gamble at offshore sports betting sites.
As with both Florida and Georgia, there is no legal sports betting in Alabama. There have been several attempts to legalize betting in the past, with the most recent coming from State Senator Greg Albritton. This failed to gain traction.
Alabama is therefore in a similar position to Florida, with no sports betting available. However, as with both Florida and Georgia, those in Alabama can still gamble at offshore sportsbooks.
